Average thread consumption

Calculating the exact expected thread consumption is highly dependent on the stitch length, the stitch quality, the necessary thread tension for your application as well as the quilting pattern you apply. However, for your orientation we recommend to use the following assumptions if you want to calculate an estimated value

      -  Double lock-stitch machines

Ratio between thread consumption on the top and on the lower side of the quilted fabric is about 50/50

      -  Double chain-stitch machines

Ratio between thread consumption on the top and on the lower side of the quilted fabric is about 35/65
